Friday Shelfie #4
Here is my 4th edition of Friday Shelfie! In this post I talk about three different kinds of serums (in three different formulations), a super hydrating and lavish body moisturiser and a handy hair product to keep your fresh dye-job as vibrant and glossy as possible.
Obagi Professional-C Serum 15%
Everyone knows I’m a big lover of face serums – and Obagi’s Professional-C Serum has got my tick of approval.
This lightweight citrus smelling face oil contains a generous and impressive 15% dosage of vitamin C as well as L-ascorbic acid. The vitamin C lightens skin removing pigmentation and stops the ageing process and the L-ascorbic acid helps by feeding the skin with antioxidants and defending against damaging UVA and UVB sun rays.
Lastly, this serum contains propylene glycol which helps the active ingredients to penetrate the skin further down, meaning they have more chance to get to work and make an overall difference to your skin.
This serum felt lovely on, however I would only apply this once a day as it does contain high dosages of active ingredients that might irritate sensitive skin types.

Naked Tan Goddess Crème de la Crème
What’s not to love about this thick and hydrating all-over body moisturiser? Firstly it smells ah-mazing – think chocolate and caramelised orange.
Secondly it spreads quickly, easily and absorbs into the skin leaving it feeling cool and tingly (perfect for hot summer days!).
Thirdly, the packageing is gorgeous, just look at the clear surrounding tub!
Lastly, made from shea butter, cocoa butter and aloe vera, this tub of perfection can increase the longevity of your tan, meaning no un-even fading or patchiness, and longer lasting bronzed limbs.
I’ll take ten tubs thanks!

Givenchy Mister Radiant
If there’s one guy who won’t let you down, it’s Mister Radiant. Givenchy have nailed it again with this tiny tube of instant glow. The clear serum features tiny orbs of illuminator, bronzer and vitamin E, so when you massage it into your face and neck the powder is released and spreads a fine glowy tint evenly all over.
I also like the smell – very luxe and florally.
This serum is perfect for any girls who enjoy the ‘no-makeup makeup look’ and have naturally blemish-free skin. You can literally apply this serum, revel in your new bronzed dewy glow, comb on some mascara and be on your way.

MonoDermà E5 Serum Capsules
If you’re one of those people who find it hard to remember to pop on some serum at night before your moisturiser, here is a product that will revolutionise your skincare.
Meet MonoDermà – an Italian dermocosmetic range created to treat various skin concerns in a convenient and fun daily capsule stored in a clever swivel disc container.
There are three different options to choose from including the A15 capsules (they help to exfoliate away at fine wrinkles thanks to retinol), C10 (a lightening and anti-ageing capsule infused with vitamin C) and finally the E5 capsule that promises to soothe and hydrate your skin with Vitamin E and 5% tocopherol.
I’ve been loving all of the above, but especially the antioxidant rich E5 capsules pictured above.
I find that they really help to keep my skin hydrated during the warmer months. Nothing makes your face look dull and lifeless like thirty skin! I’ve even noticed some of my fine lines plumped up and my skin definitely looks more healthy and refreshed.

John Frieda Colour Refreshing Gloss
Summer is great for many things including all of the outdoor activities we can can choose from thanks to the longer day-light hours.
What is all of that sun and beachy salt not good for though? Your hair. Excess sunlight and salty water are two quick ways to strip the colour and life from your freshly dyed locks.
Luckily John Frieda has come up with a way to keep your hair looking as glossy and pigmented as possible in between at-home dye jobs.
Meet the unbelievable Colour Refreshing Gloss. This bad boy will make your faded hair look like new.
Here’s how to use it: Simply wash and condition hair like normal, then squeeze out any excess water in your hair and apply the gloss from root to tip and leave in for 3-4 minutes. You could even shave your legs or exfoliate your body head-to-toe in this short amount of waiting time. Next wash it out and take in your pumped up colour! For best results and longer lasting hair colour, use weekly.
I always go a shade darker in summer (a very dark brown) because I think it looks nice paired with tanned skin. This gloss has been keeping ‘my look’ on point. Very very impressed!
