Friday Shelfie #6
Hello beauty lovers!
This Friday Shelfie is literally all about skincare.
I’ve trialled a fab gentle cleansing foam perfect for everyday use, a hydrating and refreshing face toner, an eye cream to make your peepers look super awake, an extra light-weight face oil that feels more like water than an oil and a classic face mask (that you probably used in high school!) with a sparkling new brand name!
ModelCo Gentle Daily Cleansing Foam
I’m a fan of the double cleanse. Basically, every time I wash my face I always wash off general makeup and grit with a face cleansing oil first before I go back in with a gentle cleaner (or exfoliator) for a deeper more thorough clean.
Because I don’t exfoliate every single time (it’s far too harsh and abrasive) I like to switch to a gentle cleanser.
This week I have loved ModelCo’s Gentle Daily Foaming Cleanser because it’s just that – gentle.
I find that it leaves my skin fresh, and hydrated thanks to the blend of antioxidant rich damask rose, rose geranium, lavender oil and lemon myrtle.
A bottle of this pump cleanser will go a long way too, as 1 pump was well and truly enough to clean my entire face.

Wonderstrips Facial Tonic
I’ve been really enjoying refreshing face toners lately. I find that they really help to hydrate my skin and allow any other skincare products (like serums and moisturisers) to properly penetrate my skin when I layer them on afterwards.
This week I’ve been splashing on Wonderstrips Facial Tonic.
This toner can be used as an all-over calming hydrator for your face, or used along with Wonderstrips amazing adhesive clear strips. These strips are worn over the eyelid to give an instant temporary ‘eye-lift’ effect. I’ll be dedicating an entire post to them soon! Keep your eyes peeled.
I do like that this face tonic can be used on its own though, because it does feel so nice on the skin. It has a really lovely cucumber scent. The packaging is also very cute.

Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Eye-Opening Serum
Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Eye-Opening Serum comes in a cute and compact tin dispenser keeping the serum nice and cool (a very clever packaging idea!).
When this eye serum is applied, the tissue around your eyes will feel instantly relaxed and soothed.
This serum claims to have five benefits: 1) lift, 2) firm, 3) smooth, 4) hydrate and 5) restore the youthful shape of the eye region.
I only have a few slight lines around my eyes but I’ve already noticed them diminishing. More interestingly though, I’d normally wake up with puffy tired eyes and this hasn’t been happening anymore due to the lifting and firming effect of the serum.
The key ingredients are 10% botanical extracts, sodium hyaluronate and crushed skin illuminating particles that give the look of fresh and young skin.
I’d defiantly recommend this eye cream to any of my friends who want to have brighter looking eyes, and really, who doesn’t?

Sanctuary Spa Wonder Oil Serum
Sanctuary Spa is one of my favourite brands. Their Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser is actually heaven. It smells like banana and comes with a mini hot cloth to help you relax and exfoliate.
Anyway, I’m not here to talk about that product, even though it is ah-mazing, but about their equally fantastic Wonder Oil Serum.
This face serum initially has the texture of water, extremely light-weight. However once you shake it (to mix the oil and serum elements in the glass bottle) and apply it to the planes of your face, you’ll find that it leaves a lovely glow all over.
This oil blend features nourishing superfood oils including moringa, jojoba & pomegranate which instantly hydrate and boost the skin. It also has anti-ageing ingredients like red rice stem to rejuvenate and firm the skin.
I find that this serum helps my cheeks look plump and my face more radiant and super duper healthy.

7th Heaven Creamy Coconut Face Mask
Last, but not least on my list, is 7th Heaven’s Creamy Coconut Face Mask. Now, you may be thinking that this sure looks like the trusted and true brand Montagne Jeunesse, and it is!
They’ve just undergone an exciting re-brand and 7th Heaven is just so much easier to pronounce (and all of their masks do feel like heaven, so it’s rather fitting!).
On Wednesday night I applied their Creamy Coconut Face Mask expecting it to feel very mild due to the soothing coconut and I wasn’t expecting it to set like a traditional clay mask.
I was wrong on both fronts! Firstly, this is not a mild face mask that simply hydrates! I could really feel the active ingredients including citric acid tingling away at my face. Also, it actually set hard thanks to the natural kaolin clay.
When I washed this mask off 20 minutes later my face looked glowy and my cheeks bouncy. Two thumbs up 7th Heaven!
