Lovely ladies!

Over the past month I’ve been lathering my hair with a brand spanking new shampoo and conditioner that claims to give salon brands a run for their money.

The power pair I’m talking about is of course the df2ad8d558608db3611a43e8a7fad9fdmuch raved about Dove Hair Therapy Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner.

This new range was created by the experts at Dove to help tackle dry, dull and damaged hair – a perfectly timed launch really, considering summer is just around the corner and that’s when we need to feed out strands with as much moisture as possible to avoid looking like this.

This range was designed to use daily (although I wash my hair every third or fourth night) and contains the Dove patented Micro Moisture Serum which basically builds a protective shield around each and every hair fibre to protect it from daily damage and help it to look as shiny as possible.

The formula also contains Dove’s new exciting Microsheet Technology – this can’t be found in any other products. Basically it helps hair fibres to swell so there is less chance of tangles while you rinse your hair, meaning less damage in the long run.

If you think it’s about time you switched up your current shampoo and conditioner duo for a set that deeply hydrates and moisturises your hair, read below for my full break down on the range!

Clean and simple. The descriptions on the label are also easy to grasp so you’ll have no confusion. You also have the choice between a 320ml bottle for $6.89 or a family sized 640ml big boy for $11.89. Both the shampoo and conditioner cost the exact same price which is handy.

The smell

Very pleasant – it has the trademark Dove scent (which basically smells like a field of flowers with a soapy twist).

The texture

The shampoo is very silky and you only need a very small amount to really lather through your roots and rinse out through your ends. A little goes a long way!

The conditioner has the consistency of a thick moisturiser – which makes sense as this is a moisturising hair range. It made my strands feel as if they had been coated with an extremely hydrating cream without feeling at all weighed down.

What it actually did for my hair

This range claims to renew and restore tired, dull, dry and damaged hair the way that salon brands would. Personally, I found that my hair definitely felt more hydrated and moisturised after blow drying it – it also felt super soft to touch.

However, just like any shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair, I don’t think this range will reverse the signs of extremely dry and damaged hair. I’m a firm believer that you will always need to trim off your split ends from time to time to get that ‘just cut’ look.

If you do have healthy hair however, I think this range will help to keep it feeling that way as it feeds your strands with hydration meaning less chance of your locks ever becoming dull and lifeless.

For this reason, and at this amazing price point, Dove’s Hair Therapy Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner is a great choice for any Australian bathroom and I would recommend it to any of my friends (and that includes you, reading this!).
