Celebrity Beauty Tutorial: Get JoJo Fletcher’s Makeup Look From The Bachelor Season 20 With Ben Higgins
Have you been watching season 20 of The Bachelor with Ben Higgins?
As you would all know, I’m pretty obsessed with the American reality drama and watch it every year religiously. This time around, the front runners are Lauren.B, Amanda, Caila and Jojo.
I personally like Jojo the best – she’s witty, funny, down-to-earth and has fantastic makeup and hair. A girl after my own heart!
This post is dedicated to stealing Jojo Fletcher’s beauty look. I think Ben will either give his final rose to her at the end, or she will be named the next Bachelorette! Time will only tell.
JoJo is a fan of matte skin – you never see her with a shiny t-zone, and she hasn’t embraced the dewy skin trend. For porcelain perfect skin like hers, try Becca’s Matte Skin Shine Proof Foundation, $35, and buff all over the planes of your face.
To give your skin a more three dimensional look (foundation can make our face appear a little flat if not highlighted or contoured for depth) apply Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Powder in Moonstone, $60, across the top of your cheekbones, the tip of your nose, the arch of your brows and just a small amount vertically above each eyebrow.
JoJo’s smouldering brown eyes are given extra depth thanks to some expertly placed brown/bronze eyeshadow. I have a sneaking suspicion that she would be a big fan of Urban Decay’s Naked Eyeshadow Palette, $83, and use shades like Buff, Half Baked and Dark Horse a lot!
Once you’ve blended out your chocolatey-eyeshadow on your lids, take a soft kohl eyeliner in black and rim the top and bottom of your lids (making sure to slightly blend with a small eye brush) as well as your tightline and waterline for a sexy smudged look.
Now, take a super black mascara and coat your upper and bottom lashes twice for maximum length and thickness.
Finish your eye look with strong brows like JoJo’s by defining the arch and brushing up the hairs at the bulk of your brow for a natural finish.
If there’s one beauty trend JoJo Fletcher has fully embraced, it’s contouring. Take the Australis AC On Tour Palette, $16.95, and sculpt out your cheeks from the top of your ear drawing diagonally in the direction of the corner of your mouth stopping about 4cms away. With a large buffing brush, buff out the line until you create a natural chiseled out shadow.
To make the contour appear more natural, take a natural-look blush like Sunday Riley’s Blush in Honest, $40, and sweep onto the apples of your cheeks blending seamlessly into your contour.
On the Bachelor, JoJo mostly wearing a lovely creamy fleshy-coloured lip with a little bit of light reflecting lip gloss to create faux fullness.
I recommend Burberry’s Sheer Lipstick in Cedar Rose, $49, with a tap of Bobbi Brown’s High Shimmer Lip Gloss in Bare Sparkle, $44.
Lastly, to complete JoJo Fletcher’s beauty look, you need long, healthy, super shiny balayage hair. This two-tone hair colour is best achieved at a hair salon, but if you’re a particularly clever cookie and feel like you can master it at home, why not try a cost-effective kit like L’Oréal Paris Preference Wild Ombrès Brush-On Ombrè Kit, $13.99?
That’s it Bachelor beauty buffs! Who do you think will steal Ben Higgins heart in season 20?
