Review: Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks

rimmel

Creamy, bright and super moisturising. Rimmel’s new update to their popular Moisture Renew Lipsticks sees their colour become more pigmented thanks to a change in the original formulation. There are now 13 fresh shades to choose from meaning you can match your outfit and mood to the perfect hue any day.

I’ve been rocking these lipsticks ever since they first landed in my outreached arms (I was pretty keen to try them!) so I’ve picked up on a few of their key characteristics. I guess it’s inevitable when you bond so closely!

Sitting smugly wearing Diva Red.

1. The colours are bang on trend and named after a few London hot spots. My fave hues that I think everyone should swatch and buy are 1) Back To Fuchsia, 2) Sloane’s Plum, 3) In Love With Ginger and 4) Ringa Ringa Roses. (Check out the colour chart here to see these shades and pick out your own faves.)

2. Because this is a moisturising lipstick with a glossy finish, don’t expect it to be long wear. It’s more like a mix between a lip balm and lipstick. I learnt this in the smudgiest way possible when I picked up my morning coffee, and after the first gulp, I had red lipstick all over the lid! Not so cute!

3. They actually do hydrate. Each bold stick is filled with vitamins A, C and E. This is great for our chilly winter when lips become cracked and dry. Nothing is better then keeping your plump pout in tip top shape while rocking a trendy lip colour!

4. The packaging is handbag friendly. Basically, the lid never falls off so you won’t have to worry about smudged lipstick stains in your handbags liner.

Gorgeous girls, if you would like to pick up any of the above shades they can be found at Priceline, Kmart, Target, Big W, Coles supermarkets & selected pharmacies nationally for only $13.95.
