Trialled & Tested: Rimmel ScandalEyes Rockin’ Curves Mascara

When you’re having trouble making your eyelashes look long, full and flirty you really need to get to the ROOT of the problem. And by that, I obviously mean the root of your eyelashes.

Rimmel London has just launched their new ScandalEyes Rockin’ Curves Mascara. The packaging has been designed to match the face of the brand, Miss Kate Moss, so the red tube with raised and textured snake print was a spot on choice – it’s got plenty of snappy attitude.

The mascara wand itself features curved and spiralled bristles that tapper at the end. It makes the wand easy to use as you can get close to those teeny lashes at the corner of your eyes – without creating any icky smudges.

The formula is very black, and super inky. I found that with this mascara it’s best to start off with the mindset that ‘less is more’. Make sure to remove any excess mascara gloop from the end of your wand before concentrating it at the base of your eyelashes. To build up big volume it’s always important to focus the mascara here, this will create the foundation of the curve you are looking for, but it will also help to support it so that it lasts all day.

Here’s how my lashes look sans mascara (pretty flat really…)

And here’s how they look after I’ve applied Rimmel’s Scandaleyes Rockin Curves Mascara, first at the roots, and then later you can go crazy coating each individual eyelash by rotating the wand and splaying the hairs in each and every direction.

I found that this mascara was really easy to use, it helped me quickly create my ‘everyday eye look’ which is super thick lashes at the top and whispy lashes at the bottom.

Rimmel London’s ScandalEyes Rockin’ Curves Mascara is $15.95 and available from Priceline.

Are you almost through with your current mascara? Does this sound like your perfect replacement?
