Perfume Diaries: Balenciaga Rosabotanica Review
A fresh bouquet of flowers, new heels, a compliment from a stranger, the endorphins you feel after an I-almost-killed-myself workout. Here’s another thing I can add to my list of ‘Absolute Loves’ – a sparkling new perfume that smells like a dream and is worth every single cent!
Balenciaga’s new Rosabotanica has a scent that evokes an image of an exotic garden with many fruits and flowers blooming in union. Picture just-ripe figs, sliced open grapefruit and dripping-with-juice oranges. Then, blend with fresh flowers (pungent roses and heady hyacinths) that have literally just burst open with an explosion of floral flavour. Heaven? You betcha!
I’ve been spritzing Rosabotanica by Balenciaga for the last two months and I’m not.over.it.yet. This scent immediately wakes me up in the morning and puts a little swing into my step. Because this fragrance is overflowing with zesty, almost peppery notes, it doesn’t come with an annoying migraine ten minutes into its wear. Instead, the peppy flavours warm with the natural oils of your skin and a heavenly musk (that isn’t a tad bit too girly) wraps around your whole body.
This perfume is a fitting match for Kristen Stewart (the moody celebrity face behind the perfume) because at first glance the bottle magnetises you with its edgy beauty, then next you fall in love with its more complex arrangement of aromas that are anything but aloft or overtly girlie.
