Would You Match Your Nails, Lip Colour And Dress Like Solange Knowles In Head-To-Toe Blood Orange?

Solange Knowles loves to experiment with her makeup and fashion – we all know that.

However, yesterday she took me by surprise again when I saw pictures of her attending the Louis XIII Celebration of ‘100 Years’ The Movie You Will Never See.

Beyoncé’s controversial sister was wearing a gorgeous blood orange off-the-shoulder dress by American label Milly that she paired with sleek cornrows, blood orange nails – and yes a bright blood orange lip.

That’s a lot of orange going on!

Because of her gorgeous caramel skin tone the shade wears well on her, but it did have me staring at her picture for a while deciding if I loved or loathed her look.

Is matching your lip, nails and dress a new thing? Should we all be embracing this brave style statement? I’m still unsure.

I think in this case the orange looks great because it’s fun and summery and also works on all three levels (that being lips, nails and whatever you are wearing at the time).

I’ve tried to think of other colours that might look fun worn this way and I’ve only come up with fuchsia pink and maybe a neutral nude mauve.

You pretty much have to rule out purples, blues, greens and yellows because they won’t look nice on the pout (unless you’re very alternative).

If you’re a big fan of this brave look, shop the beauty products you need below, both are by Revlon and are easily available at any Priceline or pharmacy.
